Les started at Woodlands not long after Craig purchased the business in 1999. He brings a wealth of experience to his role, as he’s been a butcher since 1980. He enjoys working at Woodlands as he thinks it’s a pretty good environment. He likes that Craig, as a manager, leads by example.  He considers himself lucky; as he enjoys turning up to work on a Monday.
Les finds it rewarding when he gets to cut up some good quality meat for a client and imagines what it’ll be like cooked up. He likes the varied work that he gets at Woodlands, as no two days are the same. As part of his role as a butcher at Woodlands he’s had the opportunity to butcher a variety of animals including turkeys and alpacas. Outside of work, Les used to be a keen runner, now he rides a bike next to his Hungarian Vizsla; Conrade. He’s also a keen whitebaiter.
